Nothing, it's free! You just need to be excited to learn!

Yes! Please bring a laptop with you to the workshop. Don't forget your charger! You can either prepare your laptop at home by installing the necessary software, or install it the morning of the workshop with the help of a coach.

This workshop is aimed at women with a basic knowledge of working with a computer, who want to try out software development. People from other genders can apply, but women are given priority at this workshop. We've had people of all ages taking part. Most of the course and announcements are given in English and small group work is done in either Swahili or English.

The maximum number of participants varies per workshop. Sign up quick to secure your spot once a new workshop is announced!

Yes! We offer lunch and snacks during the workshop. Let us know your food limitations using the workshop's sign up form.

Yes! We have childcare services available for participants. This is for children maximum age five. We have a separate room and dedicated people to look after any children present. Please indicate if you will bring children on the sign up form. If you forgot to indicate this or need to update your answer, please email us.

Once we have enough sign ups and coaches, we will send out confirmations for everyone that can attend. A waiting list is available if we're fully booked, in case anyone cancels and a space opens up.Before the day of the workshop we will update you with news about the workshop and reminders about the workshop.

Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Our Responsibilities

Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying the standards of acceptable behavior and are expected to take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any instances of unacceptable behavior.

Project maintainers have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, issues, and other contributions that are not aligned to this Code of Conduct, or to ban temporarily or permanently any contributor for other behaviors that they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies within all project spaces, and it also applies when an individual is representing the project or its community in public spaces. Examples of representing a project or community include using an official project e-mail address, posting via an official social media account, or acting as an appointed representative at an online or offline event. Representation of a project may be further defined and clarified by project maintainers.

Enforcement

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported by contacting the project team at:

All complaints will be reviewed and investigated and will result in a response that is deemed necessary and appropriate to the circumstances. The project team is obligated to maintain confidentiality with regard to the reporter of an incident. Further details of specific enforcement policies may be posted separately.

Project maintainers who do not follow or enforce the Code of Conduct in good faith may face temporary or permanent repercussions as determined by other members of the project’s leadership.
